The Pikes Peak Home School Band is under the direction of Mr. Bill Callen. There is a band for beginners, an intermediate band and two advanced bands.
The bands rehearse on Mondays and Wednesdays on the campus of the Nazarene Bible College.
The Home School Band fills a void in the curriculum and in the activities of home-schooled children. Students have the opportunity to learn and play band instruments in an educational environment with their peers. It is noteworthy that these students receive more individualized instruction and personal attention than they would in a school setting.

Bill Callen holds an M.A. In Music Education. He served in the U.S. Army 5th Division Band for 3 years; was a middle-school band educator for 30 years and church choir director for 25 years. He founded the Pikes Peak Home School Band and has directed it for 10 years.
